Podcast 69 - Flood The Shoreline

Flood The ShorelineThis is the final band I have from the Buffalo Original Music Festival last August 19th, 2007. I know it’s taken a while to get all of the great music out and into podcasts, but I hope it’s been worth the wait. It was a big project as well as a learning experience.

The intention is to make it an annual festival and I hope they do. The Colden Country Inn played host to it and they sure have a nice place for it there. The organizers knew exactly what they wanted to do as far as showcasing local musicians and put together an amazing lineup.

But back to the podcast. The band this week is Flood The Shoreline, a four-piece rock band that during school hails from SUNY Fredonia. Three of the band are from Niagara County, Niagara Falls and Lewiston. The fourth, is from Binghampton. So, they are based out of Fredonia, and it’s good to feature a band from the southern part of WNY. I hear a lot of good things about the music scene down that way, but unfortunately, don’t get down there much.

The band played short one member at BOM Fest. No, Joel made it up from Binghampton, but thier bass player, Nick, had other committments that day. The sound is more acoustic than it would have been with the bass player, but they’re still pretty good. I wish my recording was better, but it’s an outdoor show and sounds like it. I do have a couple tracks I put in from their MySpace page for comparison’s sake.

Flood The Shoreline is:

Daniel Bordonaro - Vocals, Guitar
Steve Zdziebko - Guitar
Nickolas Saulino - Bass
Joel Carle - Drums
