Buffalo and SXSW
A year ago, I almost put out a podcast based on music with a Buffalo connection that was playing at the South By South West music festival.
In 2006, there were quite a few bands of interest to Buffalonians at SXSW. I never put out the podcast because it would have been a huge amount of work getting permission from everyone involved to do it, but it was an interesting exercise. The sample tracks at the SXSW website were quite interesting.
But, this year was a bust. Besides the fact that I haven’t had time until now, two months late, to think about it, I just - for curiositys sake - searched through the band listings for 2007 and found only one band listed as from Buffalo: moe. which it’s true started out in Buffalo, but are they still based here?
