Floozie - Podcast 51
Recorded March 16, 2007 at Mohawk Place, Buffalo NY
I heard about Floozie about a year ago and have been wanting to hear them for quite a while. When the opportunity came up to do this podcast at Mohawk Place, it was mainly Floozie that got me to do it. The fact that it was a
triple bill with two other great bands who also were amenable to a podcast was just serendipity.
They played a late show on St. Patricks Day eve to a small crowd. I don’t know if everyone was saving themselves for the following night, or at some Irish Bar drinking green beer, but they missed a great show.
I don’t have to tell you that I’m just as likely as the next guy to be listening to some celtic music and celebrating St. Paddys Day, so maybe it was the show that was coming down all day and left about a six inch drift for me to park in that caused the small turn out.
So we recorded the sets and you can have your cake and eat it too, even if you weren’t there, now you can hear Floozie at the Hawk.
Floozie is:
Jim Schwartz-Vocals and Guitar.
Mike McGranor- Lead Guitar and Vocals.
Marty Schebell-Bass.
Matt Manera-Drums
You can visit their webpage at http://myspace.com/floozie and listen to some of their songs there. (Wait until
after you finish this podcast, though!)
There’s a pretty good interview coming up with some of the band as well.

About the photo - I got tired of all the photos with the black backdrop at the Mohawk. After a while they all looked the same. I had this picture and was playing with some adjustments and got carried away. Call it “artistic.”
As always, if you click on the photo, it will take you to the album for that show and the ‘normal’ pictures.
