Site upgrade

I’ve just upgraded the blog software (Wordpress) to the latest version.

My internet connection was dragggggggggggginnnnnnnggggggg….. and it took forever to upload the files. (They call this Broadband????) I’m late for a robotics team meeting because it took so long.

But it appears to have taken and everything is there. Some settings need to be reset, so forgive the change in appearance. It is functional though. I’ll get back to it later.

I seem to have lost the old theme, though. No loss. I was getting tired of it and it was getting pretty kludgey, especially the sidebar. So I picked another one that has a fixed width this time. It’s a little green for my taste, but maybe I’ll tweak the colors.

While I was at it, I updated Podpress again and added the Snap Previews that give you a little preview box to every link. Isn’t all this new web stuff cool? That should give me incentive to add lots of links and keep my Google presence up there!

One new thing in the latest version of Podpress is support for MobaTalk. That’s a souped-up version MyChingo, which you’ve seen on other blogs, I’m sure.

It allows you to add voice comments to any post just by hitting a button and talking. So go ahead and make some noise. I’d love to get some comments I could put into a future podcast.

So go get that headset you use for WOW, or use the mic built into your Macbook. Let’s hear from you.
