Podcast 44 – Noa Bursie

Noa BursieWe travel to Allen Street to Nietzsches to see another great performance, like so many others we’ve seen there. This time, it’s Noa Bursie, a local singer-songwriter with a unique vocal style and engaging lyrics. Her sound is very mellow and soothing, yet her words tell stories that captivate and catch you imagination.

I was very pleased to be welcomed to record her show. I had first heard Noa through the WLKK The Lake 107.7 Local Music Compilation Volume 1 CD and her appearance on the Live at The Center shows sponsored by the Music Is Art foundation.

Besides the Lake compilation, Noa has one CD out: Talk Story, which is available at New World Record on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo and possibly other local shops. I was unable to find it online anywhere, although it was listed as currently unavailble at Amazon.

Songs in the podcast:

Faith Fiction (live)
Fantasy of Love (live)
Holes In My Pocket (live)
I’ll Never Tell (live)
Just Helen (live)
Twiss L’il Sister (Talk Story)
You Better Tell Me (live)
Thin Line (live)
Tea With Geraldo (Talk Story)

Beautiful music, I heard one of Noa Burisie’s songs on a jazz station one time but at the time did’nt know who preformed the song, it compelled me to find out through tedious research who the artists was. This music has that effect on me, its fantastic, just makes me smile and reflect.

Noa Bursie is my IB Literature teacher! I am extremely proud of her and her music. Her voice and lyrics are amazing, and she has major star quality. Go Ms. BURSIE!
