Podcast 41 - Podsafe Christmas 2006
I don’t have much (or any) local Christmas music, so this is becoming an annual tradition: the Podsafe Music Christmas Show!
I picked out a few Christmas songs from the Podsafe Music Network, an internet repository of music that has been cleared for use in podcasts by the artists. It’s quite good! I hope you like it. Put it on while you wrap some presents or sip egg nog by the fireplace and get in a Merry Christmas mood!
[I've split this podcast into two parts, each about 45 minutes each. Be sure to listen to both! If you download the podcast, download the second part while you're listening to the first.] Read the rest of this entry »
Podcast 40 - Free Henry!
Free Henry! is a young band with an exciting future. They play a lot of original music in a style somewhere between a jam band and say a Dave Matthews style (many people classify DMB as a jam band anyway.) Strong lyrics, vocals and guitar playing make them an above average band. And most of the band is from Niagara County! Read the rest of this entry »
Top Shows
I was looking at my stats at Libsyn (the media host I use to keep the audio files) and saw a sharp peak at one podcast.
Guess which podcast, in the last year has the most hits?
Now keep in mind, that the podcasts never are removed, so the older ones have the advantage.
1st Anniversary Edition! - Podcast 39
Buffalo Live! Music Podcast 1st Anniversary Edition!

Yes, it’s the podcast’s birthday! One year ago (November 30th to be exact) the first Buffalo Live! Music Podcast was born.
To celebrate, we’re having a “clip show” or “best of” or whatever you like to call it. It’s a retrospective of the last year’s podcasts, but instead of live recordings, I’m turning the tables and playing CD tracks, or tracks from the bands website in most cases. It’s a bit longer than usual, and I still only got to my favorites.
If you’re new to the podcast, or just haven’t heard all of them, and you heard a song you like, I’ve put the podcast episode number in the notes. Feel free to go back and visit them. They’re all stilll there! (You can find past podcasts with the timeline at the bottom of the website page. Just scroll back to find shows for a certain month. If you hover the cursor, it will give you the title.)
And of course, follow the links to the bands and find out when and where they are playing as well as how to buy their CDs. Read the rest of this entry »
