Podcast #28 - Chris Sax and Under New Management

Chris Sax plays the House PartyI caught up to these performers at the AllWNYRadio.com House Party on July 23rd. They’re fresh new songwriters performing their own material and I thought they’d fit together in a podcast well. See what you think.

Chris Sax is a 17-year old high school student who is already performing coffee house gigs. I first met him at a previous House Party and was glad he appeared at the third one. He impressed me with his earnestness and positive attitude towards music.

The first two songs are Fast Lane and Party Atmosphere. The rest I’m not sure of the names, but I’m surre you’ll enjoy them anyway.

I don’t have a website for Chris, I don’t think he has one yet. Watch my calendar, if I hear when he’s playing, I’ll post the gigs there.

Under New ManagementThe second act is a female duo called Under New Management, which is Megan Erbacher and Mary Palmer. They’re Fredonia State University students who met in band while in high school in Newfane and got to talking music. They started writing and playing together and this is the result.

They do have a website - HERE. I believe they have a limited edition demo CD available as well.

A third act was at the House Party, Amnesty Box, who I will be featuring in a future podcast.

The AllWNYRadio.com House Parties have been a successful low-key way to get local music and music fans together. Scott Leffler has been hosting them on a monthly basis this summer and the next one is coming up soon on August 27th. If you’d like to attend, just drop Scott an email and ask to be invited. Meanwhile, check out his audio stream on his website. You’ll even hear this podcast there on Sundays.
