Podcast coming soon
I’d like to apologize for the long delay since the last podcast. I know there must be one or two listeners (and a lot of bands) wondering where it is!
The past month has been a bit … well irritating, hectic, perplexing, confusing, I’m not sure what words to use to describe it. Without getting into a long drawn out story (I’ll save that for my blog at gritzmacher.net) I’ve had a rough month at work and was in no mood to be cheery in a podcast.
Maybe it’s just as well. I think the last podcast with John and Mary and The Valkyries is so good, it deserves to get the spotlight for an extra week! I am so happy to have had the chance to work with them.
I have continued to record a few shows and there is quite a backlog to work on. Upcoming podcasts - in no particular order - will be with Chris Sax, Under New Management, The Lowertown Trio, Amnesty Box, The Old Sweethearts, The Vores, Dark Morning and a special feature on the Great Blue Heron Festival.
Anyway, a backlog is good in keeping the show coming out, as long as I have time to work on it and am in a fit state of mind to do it! Please be patient and watch here (or subscribe with either the Feedblitz email service or your favorite RSS feed reader.) for new podcasts soon.
If you’re a fan of the podcast, I have a favor to ask of you as well. I need to build up the listenership. Tell your friends about the podcast and get them listening. Not because I am such a great personality (I’m not, and don’t pretend to be) but because the bands and the Buffalo music scene deserve the support. Also, if I ever need to make this thing self-funding, it will be easier if there is a larger listener base. Noone wants to advertise to 12 people. (Don’t worry, we’re doing better than that.) But it can be hard to measure exact numbers of podcast listeners.
In any event, the more people listening to the podcast, the more I will be able to do with it in the future.
