Some file updates

I took the opportunity, while things are a little slow and I’m under quota at Libsyn, where the audio files are hosted, to update a couple early podcast feeds.

The first several podcasts I made were stored at Ourmedia/Archive.org. It was free and like anything in life, was worth what you pay. I had started using Libsyn around Podcast #3.

Anyway, at some point, the feeds for the early shows had dissappeared. So, I’ve put them on Libsyn where they will be available from now on. If you’ve got an inclination to hear my first couple podcasts (#0, a test podcast and #1, Flyin’ Blind – worth listening to, in my opinion.) they are now available again.

Libsyn works on a unique model – unlike any other I know of – where you pay, not for total space, or for bandwidth use, but for your storage of new material per month. I’m getting 250 mb, enough for my 4 weekly hour podcasts. Once a file is over 30 days old, it stays available, but no longer counts against your quota. I suppose they move them to lower priority servers or something, but they stay available indefinitly. A good deal for podcasters and I highly reccommend them to anyone doing podcasts.
