New Flash player and download links
I came across an new WordPress plugin called PodPress which adds some functions to WordPress to make posting podcasts a bit easier.
Now making my life easier is good, but making yours easier is even better. The plugin adds a player button to each post as well as all the links to download the podcast to play later. I had been manually adding those links before, so this will insure that mistakes don’t creep in.
I’ve gone back and edited the last few podcasts so that the new links show. None of this even affects the files on the server at all, so older posts will always work as well.
Since the posts each have their own player now, I removed the FeedPlayer in the sidebar. I also put the subscribe button near the top of the sidebar. Don’t click it, it’s the XML link for your podcatcher!
You can try the player here with a short promo!

If you don’t see this player button,
then you don’t have Flash installed.
You will need to go to the Macromedia Flash site to install it.
Or just download the file with the download link and open it with the audio player of your choice.
