Podcast #10 - Dee Adams
Show Notes for Podcast #10 - Dee Adams
Dee Adams is a singer-songwriter that has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Edie Brickell, Jonatha Brooke, and Sheryl Crow
I met with Dee on several occasions, first at Merlin’s, then at The Brewhaus Cafe in Lockport, to record, as well as several chance meetings all over Buffalo. Dee is the hardest working musician in Buffalo. She’s plays more open mics and showcases as well as solo gigs and gigs with her band The Housecats than any other musician I know.
She was the Grand Prize Winner of the 2002 Songs Inspired by Literature songwriting contest for the song “Pennsylvania.” Inspired by Orson Scott Card’s “Songmaster”
SIBL - In the company of artists like David Bowie, Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Roseanne Cash, Ray Manzarek, Bruce Springsteen, Suzanne Vega, and Aimee Mann.
She is the winner of the 2005 Buffalo Music Awards category of Best Original Acoustic Solo.

Her EP with travelling band The Roadtrippers was released on Sage Indie Music, called Taking My Time.
