Thanks for your patience…
I know some of you are waiting, wondering where the next podcast is.
I’ve got three outstanding artist/bands/musicians in the works and you’re probably waiting to hear the podcasts. I was trying to get ahead a couple weeks and, despite some technical glitches, have done so. I had hoped to have the next podcast up this week, but it now looks like it will be the weekend before I get time.
So I thought I’d share the reason I am so pressed for time with you. It’s a pretty good excuse, as excuses go. Besides my regular job, and podcasting, I am an advisor to a High School Robotics team. Each year the team of students, teachers and advisors is given six weeks to build a robot to compete in an internaltional competition. We are now in the middle of the build cycle and it’s crunch time. I’m spending time every day at the school trying to help the students build a robot to compete at a game that we didn’t even know the details of three weeks ago.
Right now, they are still building the frame of the robot. My area of expertise is the electrical wiring and controls programming. That means once they get the mechanical part built, my students and I get going with making it work. We’re going to be real busy the next couple weeks.
So, until after about February 20th, I probably won’t be out recording any shows. I will continue to use the material already done though. I am working to get out the McCarthyizm podcast this weekend. Babik and Dee Adams will follow.
That’s some super music, so stay tuned. By the time I run out of material, I’ll be done with the robot and getting back out with the shows. There will be a few weekends where I’ll be at competitions (Rochester, Annapolis and Atlanta) but things will get back to normal for the most part.
